Melbourne Beats is a project I started in November 2004. It is one of the very few non-ad-driven web sites that caters for local electronic music lovers/artists/promoters. "The community is everything!"
In January 2005 the Melbourne Beats community held an event called Beat.Aid in an effort to raise money for those affected by the Asia Quake & Tsunami disaster. We raised $17,000. All proceeds were proudly donated to the Red Cross.
